[February 25th, 2004] The Tigard doctor who ran afoul of half the government agencies in the state last year has disappeared without a trace, according to authorities. Steven Gabriel Moos, who stood accused of drug possession, child endangerment, and fraudulent Internet marketing (see "Hunting Dr. Feelgood," WW, Dec. 3, 2003), has vacated his $1.1 million Bull Mountain home with his family without leaving any clues to his current location.

Tigard Police Lt. Joe Grisham told WW that he has tried to contact both Moos and his father about a possible transient problem at the home, but to no avail. "It looks like someone has gone in and stolen all of the valuable fixtures in there," says Grisham, who notes that there was no sign of forced entry.

According to the receptionist at the doctor's former office, Moos sold his cosmetic and anti-aging medical clinic about a month ago to Dr. Jerome Lentini, who renamed it A Younger You.

Meanwhile, Moos' attorney, Marc Blackman, has requested to be allowed to withdraw as Moos' legal counsel in his April 20 Washington County criminal trial on drug and child-endangerment charges. In a brief submitted Jan. 30, Blackman claimed "Dr. Moos has rendered it unreasonably difficult" for the firm to represent him. Blackman did not return a call for comment.

Jan Margosian, spokeswoman for Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers, likewise claims that Moos hasn't responded to the AG's fraud charges.

I am flabbergasted.

I live in Beijing. I knew Dr. Moos and his wife, under the name "Gabriel" and I just found the search warrant on the FBI website 5 minutes ago.
