Seattle tequila bar/Tex-Mex eatery The Matador is negotiating to lease the building, says co-owner Zak Melang. Not to be confused with the West Burnside dive, the Seattle bar touts "the Northwest's premier tequila menu...." >> Big rumor: Fox Tower meat palace Harrison is kaput . WW could not confirm the closure at press time, but the restaurant's doors were locked tight during regular Monday biz hours. According to an email WW received and posts at www.portlandfoodanddrink.com, Harrison closed last Friday night without warning—even for its staffers and chef. Yikes. >> In brighter news, Pok Pok is closing Saturday, July 29—but just for a month, to add on a new dining room. The Southeast Division Thai "shack" will reopen in September, to be followed by the dining room if all goes well.
