[December 13th, 2006] Psst: Former Roux dining room manager Allison Blythe told WW this past weekend that her talented hubby, wunder-chef Josh Blythe , will soon hang up his toque at Roux so that he and Allison can focus on their own gastronomic project. What does that mean for the southern-flavored Roux? Only time will tell. >> Do-gooder alert: JoPa restaurant and JoPa Café were commended last week by the Humane Society of the United States for their elimination of the sale of eggs from hens confined to itty-bitty "abusive battery cages." JoPa uses 28,000 eggs each year. Plus, Eugene's Organically Grown Company was named "Outstanding Visionary of the Year" by Oregon Tilth . The company is the largest organic-produce distributor in the Northwest and has supposedly pioneered innovative practices in organic agriculture for the past three decades.
