[July 25th, 2007] Just like your mom, sandwich shop Valentine's (232 SW Ankeny St., 248-1600) is swapping lunch for booze. From henceforth the Ankeny alley hotspot will be known as Valentine's Lounge . It's nixed the midday meal in favor of dinner and drinks, and will be open late into the night seven days a week (just like your...too easy). >> Eat Me's Mike Thelin made a few discoveries on his recent sojourn to Bend to attend foodie event the Sagebrush Classic, including Deep (821 NW Wall St., Bend, 541-323-9841), a Japanese-influenced eatery that serves tempura-fried bacon . News update: Mike died before he could make it back home. However, he did have time pre-exploding arteries to visit Thump Coffee (25 NW Minnesota Ave., Suite 2, Bend, 541-388-0226), a cozy cafe steaming Stumptown lattes....
