[August 29th, 2007] Another reason to dine…and gamble. El Gaucho (319 SW Broadway) is celebrating its 54th anniversary (that includes seven years in PDX) by rolling back the clock. Between now and Sept. 23, one lucky table each night will be presented with a check that reflects 1953 prices . That could mean $4 steaks and lobster tails for $3.50 ! That’s not too shabby, as a dinner for two at the extravagant steakhouse can easily top $500. El Gaucho’s gigantic dry-aged steaks, Caesar salads prepared tableside and obsequious service make for an unforgettable night, so why not roll the dice?
