[September 19th, 2007] As buzzed about on the website An Exploration of Portland Food and Drink and wweek.com late last week, Marco Shaw of Fife fame is about to debut a new take-away restaurant in the Beaumont neighborhood. According to Shaw, Full Plate will serve “straight-up comfort food,” including his excellent pork chops, slow-roasted chicken and housemade lasagna. It’s slated to open Oct. 5. This isn’t Shaw’s only project. His long-anticipated Hardshell , a seafood restaurant, is still under construction as part of the Vanport Square redevelopment located at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Alberta Street. It should be up and running this winter.>>Simpatica chef and ex-Roux shogun Scott Ketterman is scouting locations for a Basque-themed restaurant in North Portland. His Basque dinners at Simpatica have already been met with much praise....
