46. ONE-TWO PUNCH: Mustard Corey Lynn Calter Blouse, Short-sleeved Belted Smock Dress

42 Take a Whiff

No need to smell like one of Gramps’ stashed-away cardigans —we promise this version from RCVA ($70, Local 35, 3556 SE Hawthorne Blvd., 963-8200) hasn’t seen any bingo halls. It fits the hipster bill (standard slim fit, muted gray hue, geeky schoolboy chic) without all the lingering mothball funk.

43 Like a Virgin

These spankin’-new scarves from the local team behind Hecklewood ’s ’80s-inspired fluorescent graphics pop with a traditional back-to-basics diamond motif. Plus, they’re made from 100 percent virgin wool by Pendleton, Portland’s own long-running wool-mill giant ($35, Hecklewood, 2431 NW Thurman St., 922-1797).

44 Now Showing on Lifetime

Huge collared lapels and pale wooden buttons on a rich teal thigh-length pea coat are not surprising details coming from Vancouver-based artful clothing company Lifetime Collective . This Legacy Trench ($170, Blue, 3753 N Mississippi Ave., 542-0888. ) is a great addition to Lifetime’s collection of consistent, wearable styles.

45 Rainy Day Blues

Put a little color into P-town’s gray winter skies with this sweet turquoise umbrella ($10, Sloan Boutique, 740 NW 23rd Ave., 222-6666 ). Yes, such drastic measures to prevent winter drenching are reserved mainly for out-of-towners, but anyone looking to free themselves of their Gortex-’n’-fleece confines can bust open this bumbershoot and start singin’ in the rain.

46 One-Two Punch

Dainty but still playful, this mustard Corey Lynn Calter blouse ($135, Phlox, 3962 N Mississippi Ave., 284-1264) is an unexpected cold-weather accent. Pair it under a short-sleeved belted smock dress ($262, Phlox) or wear it alone to show off the petal-like sleeves. Either way, the color gives punch to an otherwise drab winter palette.

47 It’s Not All About the Benjamins

Yeah, the price tag is pushin’ it, but this Crosby Hallen&Cobb blazer ($470, Moule, 1225 NW Everett St., 227-8530)— where buttons with mustard stitching meet traditional windowpane plaid—is sharp. Pair it with some jeans and you’ve got casual Friday covered; throw on some handsome slacks and you’ll be ready to meet her ’rents come Christmas Eve. Plus, the perfectly tailored cut almost justifies droppin’ this many Benjies in one place.

48 B—Above Average

Slivers of fine black and gray stripes make complete sense embedded in this ever-so-soft thick cut of merino wool and cashmere. The B.Son scarf ($140, Local 35, 3556 SE Hawthorne Blvd., 963-8200 ), part of San Francisco-based designer Rebecca Beeson’s collection of menswear, B.Son Men, is a sweet spot in the landscape of high-end apparel and accessories.

49 News Flash!

The paperboy cap gets a sophisticated twist with this Brixton Melton wool “Ruffian” topper ($33, Denwave, 811 E Burnside St., 233-3189). But you don’t have to chuck the daily news reports to pull off this throwback style—this modernized version adds plenty of taste to whatever route you take.

50 A First For Everything

Poet sleeves and a flattering gathered neckline soften the eye-catching brown-and-yellow print on Tucker by Gaby Basora’s “The First Kiss” ($230, Le Train Bleu, 748 NW 11th Ave., 343-5140) . This loose-fitting number will be a hit under the mistletoe—or anywhere else.

51 20/20 Vision

Hoodies are a winter staple in Portland for obvious reasons. Switch up your generic American Apparel version and add some unexpected geometric funk with the Insight Hoodie ($75, Local 35, 3556 SE Hawthorne Blvd., 963-8200). Roped links form an electric blue diamond pattern on a soft, heather gray background.

52 The Benefits of Insomnia

As an artist collaboration with Upper Playground’s gallery, Fifty24SF, Alex Pardee is showcasing his works both on apparel and hanging in the shop’s adjacent art space. This skull-printed hoodie ($110, Upper Playground, 23 NW 5th Ave., 548-4835) is a piece from his current collection, “Owlex”: New paintings and drawings completed over 31 consecutive sleepless nights. Pardee’s curious and disturbing universe, filled with monsters and eery characters, is inspired by horror movies and graffiti.

Gimme More

Sack Full Of Hip:

Even though no one will actually admit to being a hipster, this striped handwoven Happy Bag made in Bolivia ($30, Onda Arte Latina, 2215 NE Alberta St., 493-1909) is still pretty fresh. You guys still say fresh, right?

Look Dapper As a Flapper:

Liza Rietz hats ($36, A Broken Spoke, 2305 NW Savier St., 729-1886) , a nod to the 1920s flapper look, are a great gift for your fashion-savvy friends or family.

That’s Hot:

Rachel Comey’s Shield dress ($410, Stand Up Comedy, 811 E Burnside St., Suite 119, 233-3382) , with pockets, is dashing and practical. Perfect for any hotel heiress on the go.
