Arawan

BY WW EDITORIAL STAFF | 503-243-2122

[March 19th, 2008] This modest joint just north of Clackamas Town Center isn’t a destination restaurant, but when you’re on a mall run you’ll do well with the typical lineup of curries and classic noodle dishes ($8.99). Take advantage of the menu’s wide array of offerings: Yum Talay ($9.99) is cold seafood and crisp lettuce dressed in refreshing lime, chilis and lemongrass—a salad that eats like a meal. The unexpectedly stylish interior lets you forget the strip-mall locale, and gazing up from your mixed grill combo plate ($11.99) at the Outback Steakhouse across the lot, you’ll know you’ve chosen the better “shrimp (and pork and beef) on the barbie.” (JLM)

9610 SE 82nd Ave., 788-3066. Lunch and dinner daily.
