Blueplate

BY WW EDITORIAL STAFF | 503-243-2122

[March 19th, 2008] This nostalgia-soaked downtown lunch counter and soda fountain serves up a limited menu of one sandwich ($7) and one entree ($9) each day, currently ranging from barbecue pulled-pork and hand-sliced roast beef dip sandwiches to a roast chicken burrito and bacon-and-mushroom mac and cheese. Seating is limited but the service is intimate, and comfort food like pot roast with potatoes and carrots is a welcome change from the usual quickie lunch. (JP)

308 SW Washington St., 295-2583. Lunch served until late afternoon Monday-Friday.
