I was pleased to see the WW endorsement of Measure 54, since I was the student who coordinated all the meetings, the legislative testimony, and wrote drafts of the language of Measure 54.
However, while I am pleased to see that Measure 54 is on the ballot, and pleased to see that it is so eloquently represented by Hannah, I want to reinforce a point that Hannah makes only in passing. THIS WAS A CLASS INITIATIVE. While the article states the participatory nature of this exercise in democracy, Hannah is the only student who appears in the interview. I hope the visual disparity between what actually happened and the representation to WWeek is recognized by the viewers of this clip.
