THE IMPRINTS: Stroub, not Droge.
BY WW EDITORIAL STAFF | newsdesk at wweek dot com

[September 7th, 2005] STRIPTEASER: In a move that's sure to reverberate throughout the queer and bachelorette-party communities for eons to come , the 40-something-year-old Three Sisters Tavern , one of Portland's most infamous male strip clubs, will shutter its Southwest Stark Street doors as soon as this weekend. But the storied space won't stay empty for long. Scoop has found out that the bar will become home to Scandals in the near future. Another pillar of the local gay bar scene, Scandals has been forced to leave its own Southwest Stark Street digs to make way for a new restaurant called Sergeant Recruiter .

KATRINA RELIEF: Local hurricane relief efforts are gearing up. Nearly 6,000 artists who sell their albums on the Portland-based online record store CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) are donating 100 percent of their profits for the time being to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund for victims of that bitch Katrina. Tonight, local rockers Mike D , Gruesome Galore and Storm Large and the Balls are staging their own benefit bash at Dante's (1 SW 3rd Ave., 226-6630, 8 pm, $5). We hear Storm might auction off a spanking. Northwest Medical Teams will collect donations Thursday night at PGE Park (Southwest 18th Avenue and Morrison Street) during the Portland Timbers game. Buying your soccer tix online at www.nwmedicalteams.org nets the nonprofit a $4 donation per Timbers ticket. This Saturday, Amnesia Brewery (832 N Beech St., 281-7708) donates 50 percent of its sudsy sales to the Red Cross and the Oregon Humane Society , which is also sending supplies and personnel to the stricken region. Monday night belongs to the Ash Street 's (225 SW Ash St., 226-0430. 7 pm) donation-only Red Cross rock blowout starring the Dimes .

MIS-STROUB: In last week's MusicfestNW Guide, we erroneously reported that Pete Droge is the singer-frontman for local band the Imprints. Droge produced the band's debut album, Sounds of the Aftermath, but Rob Stroub is the guy who actually writes the songs and fronts the band. WW regrets the error.
