Regional Livability Summit: Earth Week 2007

Learn about the biggest challenges facing the metro area and hear sage words from environmentalist Denis Hayes, national coordinator of the first Earth Day. Portland State University, Smith Center Ballroom, 1825 SW Broadway, third floor. More info at clfuture.org/events/Summit07. 8 am-4 pm. $45 (suggested).

Trash to Treasures Earth Day Bash

Ever want to see one of TriMet's biodiesel buses, learn how to repair your bike, make a perfect compost bin and sing along with "Earthsinger" Dave Orleans? Your kids might, too. Planting Seeds of Community

The City Repair Project and the Earth Day Coalition give props to Gaia with their all-day event in Woodlawn Park, including three stages of music, green workshops and a Kids' Village for the little ones. BikeEarthDay 2007
