[September 19th, 2007] As buzzed about on the website An Exploration of Portland Food and Drink and wweek.com late last week, Marco Shaw of Fife fame is about to debut a new take-away restaurant in the Beaumont neighborhood. According to Shaw, Full Plate will serve “straight-up comfort food,” including his excellent pork chops, slow-roasted chicken and housemade lasagna. It’s slated to open Oct. 5. This isn’t Shaw’s only project. His long-anticipated Hardshell , a seafood restaurant, is still under construction as part of the Vanport Square redevelopment located at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Alberta Street.
