If the raw, spontaneous sound of White Rabbits’ new album, It’s Frightening, sounds just a touch familiar, perhaps it’s because Portlander and Spoon frontman Britt Daniel produced the record. Funny story behind that:
“I got a text from Jamie [Levinson, White Rabbits’ drummer,] saying, ‘Hey, what do you think about the idea of Britt Daniel producing our next record?’ which he meant to send to someone else. My initial thought was, I have no time to do that and I’m not really a producer. But slowly and surely they talked me into it.”

SEE IT: White Rabbits plays Doug Fir on Tuesday, June 23. 9 pm. See LocalCut.com for more with Britt Daniel.
