Sustaining Change on the American Farm: An Artist/Farmer Exchange
Artists, too, are jumping on the sustainable-agriculture bandwagon. This traveling exhibit from the Maryhill Museum of Art paired a dozen Northwest artists with farms in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, and displays the multimedia results. Participants include Portland’s Bonnie Meltzer, who created a triptych of cutout wooden overalls brightly painted with fish, stretching blacktops, ranchers and city-dwellers. The exhibit can be viewed during normal museum hours until April 30, at regular attendance prices.
Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver., (360) 993-5679. Exhibit opening reception 5-8 pm. Free. Map
