King Corn, free screening

While those yellow ears of plump, sweet goodness seem innocent enough, they play a large part in our nation's changing farming economy—and ever-expanding waistlines. After a free screening, filmmaker Curt Ellis will be on hand to discuss the issues he explores in the film with a local panel of food-systems advocates including a community supported agriculture farmer, the president of New Seasons Market and the food resource manager of the Oregon Food Bank.
