[INNER SPACE ROCK] It’s fun to play the match game with Moon Duo’s psych drones, mentally pairing each of the San Francisco band’s narcotized dirges with this or that Suicide or Spacemen 3 or Neu! song, but you know what’s even better? Chilling the fuck out, lighting some candles, hustling your drug of choice into your bloodstream ASAP, cranking Moon Duo’s recently released Circles till it hurts your neighbor’s ears and drifting into the sort of ecstatic relaxation zone that can only be entered via music-induced trances. Which is all to say that this Duo comes trailing myriad precedents, but what great religious experience doesn’t?
