The Ladykillers
9 pm., Saturday January 19 | $8.
[CASH TRIBUTE] The ghost of the Man in Black can be detected in nearly every note from nearly every rockabilly band, so high-octane tributes to Johnny are the most logical step in a post-Cash world. Local trio the Ladykillers—taking on the role of the Tennessee Three, only with their version of Luther Perkins also singing—comprises musicians from familiar bands like the Twangshifters and the Dry County Crooks, so expect the show, called “Johnny Credit and the Cash Machine,” to deliver a little more than the now-endemic “Ring of Fire” cover augmented by a dude surfing on a stand-up bass.
