[SUNNY DAY FOLK] It’s not hard to see the allure of an artist like Lindsay Clark. Her music has a laid-back, earthy folk bent to it that is appealing despite its familiarity. Clark’s steady, sweet vocals are made more interesting by the way she periodically breaks off halfway through a word and practically breathes out the final syllables. They sound borderline sensual in that respect at times, but, more often than not, this is just a signature quality she possesses as a singer. Her brand of no-frills folk is intriguing because of its simplicity, and her unique vocal delivery is surprisingly effective.
