PENELOPE BASS
7:30 pm., Wednesday March 27 | Free.
Powell's City of Books
1005 W Burnside St.

Nothing makes science more interesting than alcohol. Amy Stewart explores the botanical history and chemistry of more than 150 plants, flowers, fruits and trees that contribute to our most delicious alcoholic beverages (and probably some you’ve never heard of) in her new book, The Drunken Botanist. Joining her will be Christian Krogstad of House Spirits Distillery to talk about the botanical compounds of their Aviation Gin. Learning is awesome!
