Prince Rama, Lavender Mirror

MARK STOCK
9 pm., Tuesday July 02 | $8 advance, $10 day of show.
Mississippi Studios
3939 N Mississippi Ave.

[REINVENTED POP] Last year, sibling two-piece Prince Rama concocted Top Ten Hits of the End of the World, an absurdist pop record that imagined tracks from 10 different imaginary acts that died during the apocalypse. If that sentence strikes you as bizarre, then maybe this show just isn’t for you. But if you want to restructure your concept of music through tribal, glassy, psych-tinged trance, this night is for you. Sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson make up the band, which is one of the busiest around, turning out at least a recording each year for the last half-decade.
