Here in Portland we may plant gardens, raise chickens, keep bees and even tend goats, but we’ve got nothing on the couple profiled in Wendy Tremayne’s new book, The Good Life Lab: Radical Experiments in Hands-On Living. Formerly residents of New York City, the couple quit their jobs and moved to rural New Mexico where they aimed to grow, build, invent and forage everything they needed to survive.
