Roseland Theater

[ALT-HIP-HOP] The fact that Andre Nickatina is touring in 2013 raises some questions. For starters, how does a middle-aged rapper stay relevant with the likes of Yeezus and Miley Cyrus dominating the popular zeitgeist? For Nickatina, the answer is pretending the world hasn’t changed since 1999. The 42-year-old rapper releases a new album every two years, providing earnest anecdotes involving cocaine and hoes and nods to his native San Francisco. You can’t blame a guy for being persistent.
