[SPACE LORDS] Dave Wyndorf was no young pup when he formed Monster Magnet in 1989. Forged in a miasma of psychedelic smoke and molten grunge, the band created a minor myth, then major labels stoked the flame higher, like a devil sitting on Wyndorf’s shoulder, egging him on with leggy women and bags of gold. The ride didn’t last forever—at least not in the U.S. For the past decade, Monster Magnet has been selling out shows in Europe. Now back for a full U.S. tour, the band also has come full circle, with a self-produced, psychedelic return to form, Last Patrol
