Foxy Lemon, Cambrian Explosion, Fox and the Law

ASHLEY JOCZ
9 pm., Saturday November 30 | $5.
White Eagle Saloon
836 N Russell St.

[ALT-BLUES BROTHERS] Listening to Foxy Lemon will conjure memories of getting stoned and blasting Zeppelin in the basement when mom wasn’t home. Based in bass-heavy rhythms and memorable classic-rock riffs, the band is still searching to distinguish itself, which is natural for any new group in a scene full of psych-rock comeback specials. But the Foxy boys have something pretty special on their hands. With theatrical lead vocals and a strong onstage presence, the band’s youthful gusto and reverence to its predecessors gives it an advantage among the many Portland bands hoping to strike gold.
