Those who count themselves as members of the LGBT community have long fought for acceptance and equality. But author, activist, performer and transexual Julia Serano (Whipping Girl) is shining a light on the exclusion found within the queer/LGBT community itself. Her new book, Excluded: Making Feminist and Queer Movements More Inclusive, is a series of Serano’s essays that chronicle problems of sexism-based exclusion and increased marginalization.
