Playwright Don Wilson Glenn drew on his great-great-grandfather's stories of slavery for this new play, produced by Damaris Webb and Passin' Arts. Blending Shakespearean tropes with high melodrama, the play is set during the Civil War on a West Texas plantation where the master has abandoned his cotton fields, leaving the slaves to govern themselves.
