After spending many years as the caretaker for Northwest professor Albert Ellsworth, local writer Ross Eliot is now releasing a memoir about the professor’s storied life, including his high-society childhood in southern France during WWII, his connections to the Rajneeshpuram cult and his late-in-life sex reassignment surgery to become Babette. The full story unfolds in Eliot’s book Babette: The Many Lives, Two Deaths and Double Kidnapping of Dr. Ellsworth.
