Comics Underground

PENELOPE BASS
8 pm, Thursday June 12 | $5
Jack London Bar
529 SW 4th Ave.

For years, Comics Underground has been highlighting the vibrant comics culture of the Pacific Northwest and bringing the medium of the comic book to life by inviting creators and giving them a mic and an overhead projector. But the end is nigh, and helping the event go out with a bang (or maybe a POW!) will be Matt Fraction (Hawkeye, Sex Criminals), Jeff Parker (X-Men: First Class, Aquaman), Joëlle Jones (illustrator for Helheim), Ben Dewey (Tragedy Series), Paul Tobin (Bandette, I Was the Cat with Ben Dewey) and Cat Farris (Emily and the Strangers, Flaccid Badger).
