Joan Baez, Indigo Girls

GRACE STAINBACK
6:30 pm, Thursday June 26 | $39-$75.
McMenamin's Edgefield
2126 SW Halsey St., Troutdale

[FOLKY FEMALES] Besides being a generation- and genre-defining artist, earning a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and being perhaps the only woman to see both Bob Dylan and Steve Jobs naked, Joan Baez inspired a multitude of female singer-songwriters to step up to the mic. One such act was the Indigo Girls, the folky, Georgia-based duo known, like Baez, for social activism as much as its music. It will be a powerful night of folk ballads, rich harmonizing and social justice crooning on the lawn.
