Pix Ice Cream Social

MATTHEW KORFHAGE
2-10 pm., Sunday August 17
Pix Patisserie
2225 E Burnside St.

One day a year, Pix Patisserie rooms out the fancy macarons and tarts and instead stocks its case with freezer novelties such as banana splits, sundaes, housemade Push-Ups and Habanero Nut Crunch ice cream. If you'd like to frighten your own synapses into submission, the pop-up parlor will also offer a brain freeze—22 scoops of ice cream served up in a half-watermelon with "bells and whistles."
