LOCATION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Froelick Gallery (714 NW Davis St., , )
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Walking through Froelick’s three November shows is an exercise in peripatetic pastiche. First, in the front gallery, you encounter Ronna Neuenschwander’s self-consciously precious porcelain sculptures. In the middle, Kevin Kadar’s oil-painted nudes hold forth with simplified lines and conspicuous penises. Finally, in the back gallery, Stephen O’Donnell offers arch self-portraits depicting himself in drag and in Victorian-style military regalia, complete with monocle, as if he had stepped out of a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. Through Dec. 15.
