For Line &amp; Circle, the Ohio-born band built around college pals Brian Cohen and Brian Egan, the move loosened their sound and sharpened their songwriting chops. While acclimating to its new environment, the duo added members and caught the attention of Los Angeles label White Iris Records (Best Coast, Other Lives), which was drawn to the group’s daydreaming, ’80s-style shoegaze. Line &amp; Circle’s debut 7-inch shows touches of the Cure and the Smiths, albeit with a bit more effervescence, the expected byproduct of bathing in Southern California’s endless summer.</span>&nbsp;<p></p>
