</p>[CREEDENCE CLEARWATER RESURRECTED] Missing that CCR sound? Skip John Fogerty’s upcoming self-tribute of duets&nbsp;with the likes of Kid Rock, and hearken to the Resolectrics’ debut album, <i>High Water</i>. That chooglin’ beat and crunchy guitar sound evoke classic Creedence Clearwater, while the presence of keyboards keeps it from a straight Revival. Of course, the band can’t quite match Fogerty’s throat-ripping vocals or workingman’s poetry, but both lyrics and singing work well, as do the band’s harmonies. Another new debut comes from Steelhead, led by Sloan Martin, late of Celilo. Here, he leaves that band’s more roots-y approach for a more complex soundscape featuring synths and treated guitars. The five-song EP, <i>Blue Sun</i>, starts impressively, with a febrile intensity recalling ’80s indie faves Wire Train, but follows with three songs in too-similar melodic range and mid-tempo rhythm. The seeds of an exciting new sound are here, though.&nbsp;<p class="p1"></p><p></p>
