My friends from Seattle—the ones who nerd out over Portland's high CBD bud craze—are obsessed with the Jupiter hotel. Tally up one more fuck-yeah for the minimalist party hotel attached to the Doug Fir.
The Jupiter and Dope Magazine have launched a 420 Package, which gets you a hotel room and a stoner care package on the bed.

In addition to the hotel's novelty add-ons, which already include Voodoo for breakfast and a Fantasy sex toy box, guests can now buy the full 420 Package (from $229, room included), or add an Everything But the Weed box to any reservation ($50).
No, you do not actually get weed.
But with places like Farma and Jayne, and newly-legalized edibles, don't you want to pick your own? Those looking for a hazy Portland experience should consider this a survival kit for their exploration of our weed topography.

Possibly the best swag in the bag—er, box—is the Dope vape pen. The limited edition floral twilight version was in the box for a visiting Daily Leaf Deals reviewer, who wrote it up as: "a CO2 vape cartridge with a floral print that reminds me of a fresh Hawaiian shirt."
Salt & Straw was the other high point for that reviewer, since the included "Munchie Kit" has a deal for After Dark Cookies, a late-night delivery service that brings cookies and ice-cream to Southeast Portland on weekend night.

But here's the rub: You can smoke or you can be your Jupiter room. But you cannot do both at the same time. So if your ass is in a cozy bed and a joint is in your hand, you are breaking some sort of law.
On the booking page for the 420 Package, the Jupiter reminds you:
"OLCC prohibits the smoking of cannabis at the Jupiter Hotel and ANY public place in Oregon. (Sorry, folks… it's the law). Smoking in a hotel room will result in a $150 smoke cleaning fee. The Jupiter Hotel supports and encourages responsible consumption of all legal substances."
With that friendly reminder, welcome to Portland.
