Gov. Kate Brown disclosed a new batch of campaign contributions in recent days and the list of donors includes another list of high-profile Californians.

Leading the way is Lorene Powell Jobs of Palo Alto, the widow of the late Apple Computer co-founder Steve Jobs.

Forbes pegs her net worth at $20.3 billion. So her contribution of $45,000 to Brown, while the biggest the governor has received since the May 15 primary, is pocket change to the donor.

Also giving to Brown recently: Ivon Chouinard of Ventura, Calif., the founder of the clothing company Patagonia, who gave Brown $5,000, as did his wife, Malinda.

Brown has now raised $2.24 million this year and has $4 million on hand. Her GOP opponent in the Nov. 6 general election, state Rep. Knute Buehler (R-Bend) has raised $1.3 million this year but after spending heavily to win his primary ($2.6 million), he has just a little over $200,000 on hand.
