Filmmaker Michael Moore to Visit Occupy Portland Today

Filmmaker, author and 1 percenter Michael Moore is scheduled to visit the Occupy Portland camps today, and protesters plan to march to a Bank of America branch to draw attention to the bank's investment in coal mining.---

Occupy Portland says protesters will dress like zombies. Moore is scheduled to visit the camps some time after 3:30 p.m. He visited the Occupy Oakland camp Friday after police there stormed the encampment last week and arrested about 100 people.

Occupy Portland has controlled Lownsdale and Chapman squares since Oct. 6. The City of Portland has allowed the protesters to stay in those parks but arrested 27 Occupiers early Sunday morning when they refused to leave Jamison Square in the Pearl District.
