Look What Former Portland Wrestler Jesse Ventura Is Up To Now

As much of America knows, ex-Portland Wrestling star Jesse "The Body" Ventura went on to take a surprising turn into politics as governor a decade ago of Minnesota (this of course in the days before Sarah Palin and Arnold Schwarznegger set the bar at new levels for improbable stints in a governor's office).

Now, Ventura's career takes a new twist with a cable TV show promising to plumb all manner of conspiracy theory - "global coverups, mind control, secret societies," as he puts it in this promo. There's a good read here in Minneapolis' City Pages detailing the back story of Ventura's new venture.

And watching this decades-old video from Ventura's Portland Wrestling days, is it any wonder his path takes him back to conspiracy TV?
