Matt Groening Says Simpsons' Springfield Is In Oregon (Take That, Ohio)

A long debate has finally and decisively been settled.

Matt Groening, "The Simpsons" creator and Portland native, tells Smithsonian magazine that he named the famous fictional city after the Oregon city.
