Let's call it Eternal Raindrop of the Looper Mind: Jim Carrey has been attached to star in a quirky romance set in Portland. The annual Black List of promising unproduced scripts includes The Portland Condition, penned by former Entourage writers Dan Cohn and Jeremy Miller.
âSet against the backdrop of rainy Portland, Oregon, a young man finds himself falling in love for the first timeâonly to receive a letter from his future self, warning him of impending heartbreak,â the site says.
A source inside William Morris Endeavor, the agency representing the film, says the main character has been aged up since Carrey signed on.
âWeâre looking for a director to attach to it,â the source said. âJim Carrey is attached to star. Itâs not a movie yet, but itâs something weâre looking to package in the new year.â
No other casting decisions have yet been made, the source said.
Casting agents: Before you leap on Zooey Deschanel, can you please consider Miranda July?
