Last fall Suzanne Gallagher came to WW's offices for an endorsement interview during her challenge to incumbent Sen. Ginny Burdick (D-Portland).
Burdick, who entered the Legislature in 1997, defeated Gallagher by a margin of 69 percent to 31 percent in November.
But over the weekend, the Oregon GOP gave a Gallagher a consolation prize, electing her to replace Allen Alley for a two-year term as party chair. Alley wasn't seeking re-election.
In two clips from her endorsement interview with WW, Gallagher, a Tigard resident who works as a designer, talks about her background and her independence. (She's on the left of the screen in both clips.)
