Portland punk legends Dead Moon were forced to cut their Saturday afternoon set at Seattle's Bumbershoot festival short after singer-guitarist Fred Cole collapsed onstage.
According to Oregon Music News, Cole, 67, doubled over in pain partway through the trio's show. He was taken to a local hospital, where his condition eventually stabilized, according to post on the Facebook page of Dead Moon offshoot Pierced Arrows.
The members of Dead Moon, which reunited in 2014, have been ravaged by health problems recently. Last March, Cole underwent emergency heart bypass surgery. Drummer Andrew Loomis is currently battling lymphoma, among other maladies; Pierced Arrows' Kelly Halliburton has been filling in for him at recent gigs.
