Today’s Cool Stuff post very focused on the very feminine world of cosmetics and soaps, but don’t you worry, people who could care less about that. I’ve got some treats for you today, too.
Save up to 44% on select power and hand tools, $5-$300, today only
If cosmetics aren’t your bag, perhaps 22 different sales on power and hand tools from the likes of Skil and DeWalt are! Amazon is hosting an up to 44% off sale on a ton of stuff from leading hardware brands, everything from a simple hammer and tape measure combo ($20) to full on miter saws ($154) to blow out drill driver/reciprocating saw/circular saw combo packs ($229) that’ll make any dad swoon.
There’s a ton of excellent big gifts, stocking stuffers and presents for the apartment in there alike, so check it out if you’ve been meaning to start or finish a project over the winter.
Get a 10-piece dishwasher safe cookware set from WearEver, only $28
I’m a big fan of slightly upscale cookware, but I fully recognize that cheap and easy does the job 90% of the time. If you’ve got a friend or college-aged kid finally moving into the first place of their own, a beater set of nonstick cookware is how they’ll be cooking most of their meals (noodles and jar pasta sauce), and it doesn’t get much cheaper than this $28 (down from $40) dishwasher safe set from WearEver. They even kindly throw in some plastic spatulas so it takes slightly longer to completely scrape the nonstick coating off of the pans!
Get an Amazon Echo Dot and Smart Plug from TP-Link for only $35
It seems like just last week we were talking about how much smart plugs whip ass, letting you control your outlets by voice command or from afar with a smart phone app.
In Amazon’s ever-broadening quest to become every person on Earth’s overload/personal butler via smart home integration, they’ve thrown a smart plug from TP-Link for only $5 (down from $23!!!) on their already $20-discounted Echo Dot smat hub and speaker. By my calculations, this is a good ass deal.
Take a sonic respite from the hellworld that we all live in now with some nice woodchimes, $8-$36
If you’re like me, you constantly feel like your head is being compressed by the pressure of modern-day society, and you’re a hair’s bredth away from running screaming into traffic at any given time of day. But about a month ago, I spent a good ten minutes staring into space in my friend’s apartment in Brooklyn, the sound of windchimes, surprisingly, soothing my racing mind as they sang softly i the breeze.
If the holidays have got you down, treat yourself to the mesmerizing tinkle of the chimes and if you’re like me, you’ll be transported to a better place.
