Bear Paw Inn seems like a place that would exist near actual bears. This Brooklyn neighborhood pub feels as if it belongs in the center of a little mountain town where townies mix with tourists—except in this case, it's neighborhood regulars next to folks seeing a show at the Aladdin Theater down the street. It's nothing fancy—green chalkboard menus, double-padded barstools, a couple of pool tables and a compact smoking porch with a good view of the barroom. The drinks are cheap and stiff, the bartender is a diehard Bernie supporter, and the grub comes out of a deep fryer behind the bar. Oh, and there are Jell-O shots. Why not, you're on vacation?
