For more than two decades, Chris and Jeff Davis have steadily escalated the intricacy of their Halloween yard displays—which now resemble multimedia horror shows. In summer, neighbors flock to instructional seminars on faux crypt craft. Grants from the Milwaukie Tourism Board and Clackamas County Arts Alliance helped the family erect last year's 28-foot-tall  plastic foam abbey. It takes a village to raise the dead.
