Red Cube has canceled Pacific Northwest concerts by former Vanderpump Rules castmate James Kennedy following news of the DJ’s Dec. 10 arrest in California on domestic violence-related charges. Red Cube, a Portland-based event production company with more than 20 years’ experience throwing parties for touring DJs, confirmed Monday that it was trying to cancel Kennedy’s shows at The Showbox in Seattle on Friday, Dec. 20, and at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom on Saturday, Dec. 21. The company’s rep did not respond to WW’s follow-up questions, including whether tickets would be refunded.

Kennedy’s planned appearances in Las Vegas have been canceled, though a Dec. 14 show in Milwaukee went on as planned on Dec. 14. Kennedy posted a $20,000 bail, and has reportedly acknowledged the arrest through Instagram’s stories feature. Kennedy last played in Portland at 45 East last December.

During his VPR tenure, which ended in November when Bravo announced the recast of its hit reality show following the riveting but disastrous “Scandoval” saga, Kennedy’s anger problems and substance abuse were well-documented. Ally Lewber, Kennedy’s girlfriend, acknowledged through Instagram an outpouring of support and respect for her privacy, though she has not officially been identified as a victim in Kennedy’s arrest. His other exes and former VPR castmates, Kristen Doute and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, also reacted to Kennedy’s arrest through Instagram stories days after TMZ broke the story of his arrest.

Kennedy is the second VPR alum to no-show on Portland. Fellow former SURver Billie Lee’s planned comedy show at Mississippi Studios—which would have seen her perform standup with Jade Catta-Preta and Portland trans comedians—was canceled with no official explanation from tour organizers in June. Resident Bravo Network viewers might have better luck seeing one of their faves live when Summer House personality Paige DeSorbo brings her podcast Club Giggly to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Friday, March 7.
