McKinney says she shuttered her bakery in part because of finances. Fine, but who's gonna baby us with pistachio eclairs from now on? >> There are more changes afoot at local brunch favorite Colleen's since the departure of its namesake chef, Colleen French. New chef (and ex-Gotham Bldg. Tavern man) Gabriel Rucker rechristened the cafe Le Pigeon last Wednesday. According to Rucker, the name came from his Gotham buddy Tommy Habetz, who was helping out in Rucker's new kitchen two weeks ago. He pointed to the tattoo of a flight of pigeons on Rucker's arm and told the chef, "You've got your name right there." "[In French] 'Le pigeon' is slang for someone who does your dirty work," laughs Rucker. "That's like a chef..."
