Look, it's the Purely Hypothetical 2011-2012 Portland Trail Blazers Schedule

If there's a Blazer season, and if said Blazer season begins on time—a prospect that is looking very grim indeed as of late—it's going to kick off against the Nuggets, in Portland, and the game will be broadcast on TNT.

Don't you see what this means? If the myriad miracles actually take place, and the Blazers play on November 3, you will have to choose between braving a crowded MAX train toward the sold-out Rose Garden to watch a very difficult matchup or watching Shaquille O'Neal's first night as a host of NBA on TNT.

That's too hard. Maybe a lockout isn't the worst thing that could happen.

The Blazers would have a pretty favorable November, playing shitty Detroit twice along with contests against the Clippers (who caused the Blazers trouble last year for no conceivable reason) and the Pacers (who are kinda worse than the Pistons). The much-anticipated first Blazers/Mavs game would come on Nov. 28, and the Blazers would close out the season against Utah here in Portland.

I take it back. Nothing is worse than a lockout. Dear owners: We (the fans) pay for your stupid gigantic arenas and we pay your stupid high drink prices. Stop being dicks and give us a season. Of course, folks in rural Oregon communities without Comcast are still fucked, anyway (60 games this season will be on CSNNW), so they're probably snickering at the rest of us. (In other news, both Mike Barrett and Mike Rice are slated to come back and there will be five total national games, all on TNT.)

Here's the hypothetical schedule. Commence praying...NOW:
