Buy PDX: Twist Trunk Show, Consign Couture and Portland Fashion Week Recap

A weekly roundup of retail sales and events.

Portland, you're savvy. But you're also thrifty. That's why we're bringing you Buy PDX, a weekly roundup of retail events and sales around Portland. Every Tuesday, we'll let you know the best places to drop your precious dollars.

Twist holds a trunk show featuring jewelry designer Jamie Joseph. Her line is best known for gems that add a small pop of color to any outfit. The gems are cut and polished in Joseph's studio in Seattle, with her husband, Jeremy, who is head stone-cutter. Each gem is cut in a way that doesn't detract from its natural luster. Cameron Diaz, Kate Beckinsale and Naomi Watts have all rocked her jewelry. You can check out Joseph's line at Twist's Northwest 23rd Avenue location. 30 NW 23rd Ave. 11 am-6 pm Saturday, Oct. 18.

Don't miss Consign Couture's fall fashion event. Along with pumpkin spice coffee, mimosas and baked goods, the shop will host a raffle for Druzy earrings designed by Saressa Designs, a fit and styling session from 12-5 pm and a mini photo-shoot by Hailey Rose Jones Photography. For $35, get a 30-minute photo session and five print images. To book a photo session, email Hailey at haileyrosejones@gmail.com. To set up a styling appointment, send an email to Tamara@consign-couture.com. Discounted designer denim and boots will also be up for grabs. 7400 N. Lombard St. 11 am-6 pm Saturday, Oct. 11.

And we close with a photo roundup from Portland Fashion Week.
