Little Big Burger Being Sold to Owners of Hooters

Camden's Catsup will now be served in Hooters restaurants nationwide.

Local chain Little Big Burger will be local no more.

Owners Micah Camden and Katie Poppe are selling little Big Burger to Chanticleer Holdings, the North Carolina Company that owns Hooters, according to the Portland Business Journal. Chanticleer also owns three other localized burger chains, all in the South.

As far as we know, Camden still owns Blue Star Donuts, Boxer Ramen, Hop Dog and Son of a Biscuit. Blue Star may expand to have 100 locations abroad, according to the PBJ.

Chanticleer, which is known for "wings, hooters girls, and FUN FUN FUN," according to its website, has agreed to maintain Little Big Burger's commitment to local sourcing and promoting from within, Poppe told the Portland Business Journal. "Company culture is very important to us," Poppe said.

One bonus for fans of Hooters restaurants.

Camden's Catsup—which we recently called our very favorite ketchup anywhere—will now be served in Hooters restaurants nationwide. It is a very, very good bottle of ketchup.

The deal is expected to close within two weeks, says the PBJ, after which Little Big Burger locations are expected to open in Seattle and other nearby markets.
